Edward Sri

Topics: “Philippians 3: The Surpassing Worth of Knowing Christ Jesus” and “Follow Me: Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of John”

Edward is a well-known theologian, author and speaker. Each year he speaks to tens of thousands of people from around the world, including clergy, parish leaders, catechists and laity. He has written several best-selling books and his latest release is, Into His Likeness: Be Transformed as a Disciple. Dr Sri is an adjunct professor at the Augustine Institute, Colorado.

Topic 1 : How God Changes Your Brain
Topic 2 : Spiritual and Physical/Mental Health: Clinical and Research Perspectives

Andrew is a pre-eminent neuroscientist who researches the links between spirituality, contemplative practices, and brain function. His pioneering research focused on the use of functional brain imaging to study Carmelite nuns in prayer. He will be speaking on the burgeoning field of neurotheology and its potential impact on people’s health. Andrew is the Director of Research at the Myrna Brind Center for Integrative Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia.

Fr Dominic Allain

Topic: Hope Amidst Trauma: A Christ-Centred Approach

Fr Dominic Allain is a priest of the Archdiocese of Southwark is the International Pastoral Director of Grief to Grace Ministries, a specialised programme of spiritual and psychological healing for anyone who has suffered sexual, physical, emotional or spiritual abuse in childhood, adolescence or adulthood. He will be speaking on opening our deepest wounds to the healing power of Christ the Divine Physician.

Fr Matt Blake

Topic: St Teresa – Her experience of Jesus

Fr Matt is a Discalced Carmelite friar of the Anglo-Irish Province. He has been the Regional Delegate and the Prior of Boars Hill and Kensington priories. He is the National Director of the Discalced Carmelite Secular Order, UK and in this capacity has developed an extensive Carmelite ministry in the doctrine of our saints and the Carmelite tradition. He has given retreats over many years and is well known as a spiritual director and speaker.

Fr Vincent O’Hara OCD

Topic: “Meeting Christ: The Experience of St Thérèse of Lisieux”

Fr Vincent is a Discalced Carmelite of the Anglo-Irish Province. He is part of the leadership of the Province and currently the Prior of Avila Spirituality Centre, Dublin. He is a well-known speaker and has given retreats as well as courses on Carmelite spirituality over many years.

Dr Joanne Mosley

Topic:  A Glimpse Beyond the Veil:  Reading the Scriptures with Edith Stein

Joanne is Assistant Editor of Mount Carmel and Teresian Press.  She is the author of Edith Stein (Gracewing and Paulist Press) and Elizabeth of the Trinity (2 volumes, Teresian Press), and has given talks and retreats on Carmelite Saints for a number of years.
